HISTORY OFTHE SCHOOL


The ICF Elementary School was opened in the ICF Colony in 1954. The school was upgraded into Middle School with 6 teaching staff on 15-06-1960. Mr. T. Regi Samikkannu was the Founder Head Master and Mr. S. G. Iyer was the first Correspondent. The school was shifted to a new place which was opened by the then Central Deputy Minister of Railways, Mr. S. V. Ramaswamy.
In the year 1964, the school grew into a fully-fledged High School and the first set of students wrote S.S.L.C. examination. The school moved to the present building on 13-6-1966, declared opened by Mr.Hydari, General Manager of I.C.F.
The school was upgraded into a Higher Secondary School in the year 1978. There are General & Vocational Courses in the Higher Secondary Section. At present we have on regular basis 23 Teaching & 2 Non-Teaching Staff in our roll. Besides we have 13 Teaching & 2 Non-Teaching staff


as management employees. There are Tamil & English Medium sections in each Std. from VI to XII. The school possesses all facilities like Auditorium, Library, well equipped laboratories. Thanks to the efforts of the benevolent I.C.F Management, the School is getting uplifted continuously.
